(Reuters) -Italian hearing aid company Amplifon's second-quarter core profit dropped 8.7% to 147.3 million euros ($169.84 million) on revenue that rose by 0.6%, it said on Tuesday.
Quarterly Profit and Revenue Analysis
The company lowered its guidance for 2025 amid a difficult market environment, projecting consolidated revenue growth of about 3%. It had previously expected growth in a mid-to-high single-digit percentage.
Revised Guidance for 2025
It also lowered the forecast for its adjusted core profit margin to about 23%, down from a previous projection of 24%.
Market Challenges and Core Markets Impact
"The impact (from the challenging market conditions) was more marked in some of our core markets, like Southern Europe, North America and China," CEO Enrico Vita said in a press release, adding that operations in France and Germany performed in line with expectations.
