BERLIN (Reuters) - There has been no noticeable economic recovery in Germany since the beginning of the year, the economy ministry said in its monthly report released on Thursday.

"Against the backdrop of persistently weak domestic and foreign demand, increased domestic and geopolitical risks, particularly with regard to U.S. trade policy, ... there are still no signs of a noticeable economic upturn at the start of the year," the report said.

There is also no evidence of a turnaround in the industrial sector and concerns about job security and ongoing geopolitical uncertainties continue to hinder a recovery in the consumer climate, the report added.
