(Reuters) -NatWest Group on Monday named Solange Chamberlain, director of strategic development, as the CEO of its retail bank, in its first appointment by the UK lender after the country's government exited its full ownership.
The state exit ended a costly, taxpayer-funded government investment that reshaped the lender and industry.
Chamberlain will replace David Lindberg nearly six months after his departure was announced.
Since April 2024, Chamberlain is the group director of strategic development and prior to that she was chief operating officer of the commercial & institutional business.
She worked with peer Lloyds Banking before joining NatWest in 2019. Her appointment was first reported by Sky News.
