Serge Brunschwig Takes Helm as CEO of Jil Sander

MILAN (Reuters) - Italy's OTB has appointed former Fendi President and CEO Serge Brunschwig as chief executive of its Jil Sander brand, the fashion group said on Wednesday.

Brunschwig announced last week he was leaving French luxury group LVMH, whose brands include Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Christian Dior and Givenchy and Sephora - after 30 years - in a post on LinkedIn.

OTB said he would start in his new role on Thursday, reporting to the group's CEO Ubaldo Minelli.

"In his role as CEO of Jil Sander, Serge will aim to further elevate the positioning of this brand", Minelli said in a statement.

OTB, which stands for Only The Brave, owns brands such as Diesel, Maison Margiela, Marni and Viktor&Rolf.

Brunschwig joined LVMH in 1995 and covered several roles, including as president of Dior Homme, chief operating officer of Christian Dior Couture and CEO of Celine.

Global luxury goods companies are expected to target U.S. shoppers this year given forecasts for more market weakness in China.
