Renault Appoints Duncan Minto as Chief Financial Officer

(Reuters) - French carmaker Renault said on Tuesday it has appointed Duncan Minto, chief financial officer of Renault Group sports car producer Alpine, as its CFO.

Minto will replace Thierry Pieton from March 1, the company said.

He joined Renault in 1997 and held several positions within the group before becoming the CFO of Alpine in October 2023.

Last week, Renault reported its sales volume growth fell to 1.3% in 2024 from 9% a year earlier though it outperformed European rival Volkswagen, which posted a 2.3% drop.

In 2025, automakers face tougher CO2 emissions rules in the European Union, Renault's biggest market.

Renault CEO Luca De Meo said this month that the rules could cost European car producers some 15 billion euros ($15.56 billion).
