LONDON (Reuters) -UK-based renewable energy investor Low Carbon said on Tuesday it has sold eight solar projects and two battery storage assets in Britain to France's TotalEnergies.

The projects have a combined capacity of 435 megawatts and are at an advanced stage of development. They are expected to be operational by 2028 and will produce 350 gigawatt hours of renewable power a year, equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 100,000 UK households.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Low Carbon, which has a pipeline of renewables projects of around 16 gigawatts (GW) globally, added that it plans to start construction on more than 400 MW more solar and battery projects over the next 18 months.
