Stuart Rose appointed non-executive chairman of EG Group - Global Banking & Finance Review
Stuart Rose, former CEO of Marks & Spencer, has been appointed as the non-executive chairman of EG Group, enhancing the leadership team in the retail and fuel sector.

LONDON (Reuters) – British convenience store and fuel retailer EG Group said on Thursday it had appointed Ocado Chairman Stuart Rose as non-executive chairman.

Rose, former CEO and chairman of Marks & Spencer, is due to retire from online grocer Ocado in May.

EG Group is jointly owned by the Issa brothers, Zuber and Mohsin, and by private equity firm TDR Capital.

Separate from their investment in EG Group, the Issa brothers and TDR agreed last October to buy a majority stake in supermarket group Asda from Walmart.
