Dentons Boekelhas strengthened its Banking and Finance practice in the Netherlands with the recruitment of partner Marcel Janssen.  He will assume the role of Head of Banking and Finance in Amsterdam and joins along with his team of three associates – Tess Israel, Jack Schrijver and Gerard Koster.  The team joins from Baker McKenzie, where Janssen was a partner and head of the lending team in Amsterdam.

“The additions to the team will support Dentons’ strategy to develop the existing Banking and Finance practice in Amsterdam and boost the Firm’s capabilities in cross-border transactions,” said MarienGlerum, Chief Managing Officer at DentonsBoekel.

As well respected banking and finance lawyer, Janssen advises banks, other financial institutions, direct lenders, traders and corporations on a broad range of financing transactions, including acquisition, export, trade, and commodity finance. He has particular experience in the financing of major energy, infrastructure and real estate projects.
