There’s a long history of Devitt working closely with motorcycle dealers, as back in 1936 Devitt started selling insurance to bikers via dealers. Customers could buy their new bike and then ride it away on the same day, fully insured.
Devitt’s new and improved DealerCover can still be tailored to suit the exact requirements of the dealer, but they are now adding further value to their product, offering a free Business Assist package worth £230 with all new motorcycle dealer policies. Dealers can choose from a selection of business support products within the package to help out with other business priorities such as a Legal Document Library, Commercial Legal Expenses cover, Health and Safety and Risk Management.
The DealerCover product includes new Unaccompanied Demonstrations wording to enable dealers to offer more demonstrations to their customers to help make the sale easier.
Terry Whybro, Head of Commercial for Devitt stated: “After speaking with many of our customers, we found that dealers wanted more freedom to offer test rides to their potential customers”. He continued: “We’ve listened to dealers and have introduced new wording into our policy for unaccompanied demonstrations, which should make their job that little bit easier, along with the business assist package we’re including.”
