WASHINGTON, Feb 22 (Reuters) - European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said it was her "baseline" plan to work until the end of her current term to bolster the gains she says the euro zone has made on her watch in achieving its 2% inflation target and maintaining resilient growth.

"I'm riveted to a mission...We've achieved a lot," Lagarde said on CBS's "Face the Nation" in response to questions about whether she might leave before the Oct. 2027 end of her term so her successor can be chosen prior to French elections that could put a right-"wing populist party in charge.
