Advertising Market Trends
At a press conference held at MFE’s headquarters near Milan, CEO Pier Silvio Berlusconi said that the advertising market had been difficult in the first quarter across Italy, Spain and Germany, while adding that there were early signs of improvement in March.
"The advertising outlook is improving, despite the conflict (in the Middle East). We do not have any warning over the advertising market for now", he said.
Cost-Cutting and Revenue Initiatives
Synergies from ProSieben Deal
Berlusconi, the son of company founder and former Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi, said plans to cut costs and generate new revenue from the ProSieben deal were progressing "ahead of our expectations".
MFE planned to add up to 315 million euros within four years to its operating profit stemming from ProSiebenSat.
