Next Bank Europe is a forum for collaborative debate on how the industry is being re-imagined
Next Bank Europe, taking place in Barcelona on 18 & 19 September, brings together innovators from within and outside financial services institutions to explore the digital transformation of the industry. The theme is re-think and connect – addressing the reality that the industry is undergoing momentous change and it’s time for a new collaborative approach. Next Bank Europe is organized by finnovista, the collaborative tribe re-imagining the financial services industry
According to Fermín Bueno, Partner at finnovista, ” Next Bank Europe is a forum for collaborative debate on how the industry is being re-imagined ” but more than that, it’s the chance to encounter the ideas and talent at the heart of this movement for change.”
Peter Vander Auwera, Co-Founder of Innotribe at SWIFT, and keynote speaker at the conference, explains “Now, more than ever, we are seeing disruptive shifts in the industry. I believe there is a great opportunity for the different players of the fintech ecosystem – the startups, the innovators, the entrepreneurs, the investors, the financial institutions – to join forces and collaborate on how to react to these disruptions and leverage the opportunities they create. We are happy to team up with Next Bank Europe, as this conference is yet another great invitation for collaboration across silos.”
Next Bank Europe is an opportunity to hear how financial institutions such as BBVA, Erste Group Bank and Sberbank are rethinking leadership, the business, the customer and, above all, the boundaries of the corporation. The conference will also explore the consequences of the democratization of innovation and how technologies are generating power shifts that are shaking up the status quo. Organizations such as Anthemis, Startupbootcamp and Fidor Bank will explore how this upper hand is being gained through the development of technologies around crowdfunding, cryptocurrencies, bank APIs, payments and online-offline experiences, to name a few examples.
The European final of BBVA Open Talent startup competition will be held at the conference and the 20 finalists from the categories New Banking and Digital Life will present their projects to the audience and a panel of judges. The two winners will receive €30k to develop their project and a trip to New York to take part in NYC Crash Acceleration along with two runners up.
Speakers include recognized experts from across Europe including Matthias Kröner, Peter Hinssen, Lazaro Campos, and Samantha Ghiotti among others.
