To drive further expansion in the UK & Ireland market

Fortinet, a global leader in broad, integrated and automated cybersecurity solutions, today announced the appointment of Paul Anderson as Regional Director to extend Fortinet’s penetration into the UK and Ireland markets. Anderson brings with him over 20 years’ experience gained from work with multiple security vendors.

As the new Regional Director, Anderson’s aim is to achieve substantial growth over the next years despite the increasing growth and complexity of the market. For enterprises, there are so many different security products and platforms that Anderson sees an opportunity for Fortinet to manage the situation in a joined up and organised manner and move to a platform-based approach to security. ‘We need to bring more capabilities under one roof, so we can manage this in a seamless way’ Anderson says. ‘Rather than the product-oriented language of some sellers, it should be a more sophisticated, consultative, platform-led offering.’

Most significantly, this approach should provide great value for large enterprise businesses, where CISOs are looking for a deeper relationship with their security providers. Anderson intends to use the strength in Fortinet’s Security Fabric to reduce the complexity of management and deployment issues high end businesses typically experience when trying to secure multiple threat attack surfaces.

Paul Anderson joins Fortinet having been sales director for West EMEA at Infoblox for the last 5 years and, prior to that, holding various senior sales positions at Symantec, Trend Micro and BigFix.
