BRUSSELS, March 25 (Reuters) - French retailer Carrefour said on Wednesday it was fully committed to developing its activities in Belgium after Brussels-based L'Echo newspaper reported German private equity fund Aurelius was interested in buying the retailer's Belgian unit.
Carrefour's Official Statement
"As announced during the presentation of the Carrefour 2030 strategic plan, the portfolio review is now complete," the retailer said in a statement.
"Recent results in Belgium confirm the progress made and the positive momentum. Carrefour therefore remains fully committed to developing its business in Belgium over the long term."
