The Chairman of the Banking Standards Board has received an Honorary Degree from the University of Wolverhampton.

Dame Colette Bowe, who has previously chaired the Council of Queen Mary University of London, received her award at a graduation ceremony recently held at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.

Dame Colette Bowe has worked in the City of London, in regulation and in Whitehall.

She said: “I am delighted to be honoured in this way by the University of Wolverhampton.  I greatly admire the University’s commitment to its community and to enhancing the life chances of all its students. I look forward to working with the University leadership to support its mission.”

She is also a Visiting Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford. She holds the degrees of BSc, MSc and PhD in economics from the University of London.

The University of Wolverhampton awards honorary degrees to people who have made a significant contribution to their field of expertise.

Honorary awards are presented by the University of Wolverhampton to people who have made a significant contribution to their field of expertise.

The University’s graduation ceremonies take place at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton, from Thursday 13th September to Friday 21st September 2018.
