Go to Grow is part of The Mayor’s International Business Programme and will seek to assist companies in London as they attract international trade and investment.

In order to achieve this London & Partners – the official promotional company for London – will be hosting a series of seminars, round tables and talks to entrepreneurs and SMEs, some of which Joelson will host.

The first of these events is due to be held on 14 September and will focus on raising capital. It will cover topics from finding the right investor, to understanding the terms that can be expected and the negotiation process.

This roundtable will be led by Joelson and will help SMEs and entrepreneurs to gain an understanding of the commercial and legal aspects of finding and obtaining funding.

Philippa Sturt, Corporate and Commercial Partner at Joelson, will be one of the speakers at the event.

She said: “We are delighted that London & Partners have invited us to be a part of their Go to Grow programme at this important time in the Capital’s history. While many seem focused on fears of Brexit, this project aims to strengthen international connections between London’s SMEs and entrepreneurs and businesses overseas.

“The upcoming roundtable talk will offer businesses a wonderful chance to learn more about how they can seek investment to help their business grow from a group of experienced business leaders, solicitors and professional advisers.”
