The Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire, a joint venture between Lagardère Travel Retail and the ADP group, has chosen Natixis Payment Solutions’ integrated Chinese e-wallet acceptance solution. Since February 15, Chinese visitors to Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport stores have been able to pay for purchases with the WeChat Pay e-wallet solution, a very widespread system in China.
Customers at terminals T1 and 2E at Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport have been able to shop using WeChat Pay since February 15. The WeChat app has 650 million active users in China and is the leader in mobile payments on this market, with 83% of users adopting the WeChat Pay module.
The solution developed by Natixis Payment Solutions allows the retailer to scan the code on the client’s smartphone directly using the store’s check-out system, without the use of a payment terminal. This solution can be integrated into all current store check-out systems and can manage the various specific features of Chinese wallets.
