O’Melveny represented client ValueAct Capital Master Fund, L.P., which is managed by leading investment company ValueAct Capital Management, in the sale of its majority interest in seismic data provider Seitel Holdings, Inc. to affiliates of private investment firm Centerbridge Partners, L.P.

The majority interest was acquired by Centerbridge Capital Partners II, L.P. and Centerbridge Capital Partners SBS II, L.P. in a deal that closed on July 17.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The O’Melveny team was led by San Francisco-based Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions partner Peter Healy, and included Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits senior counsel Warren Fox , Corporate counsel Noah Kornblith and Tax counsel Billy Abbott.
