Punter Southall Aspire, a leading UK workplace savings and pensions business, has appointed Johanna Nelson as Associate Director, Communications in a new role within the business leading their member communications.

Johanna will work alongside Punter SouthallAspire’s consultants to advise clients on how to improve their pension communications and engagement, an issue many UK companies find challenging. Working with clients on their overall financial education and wellbeing strategies and ensuring their communication is effective will be a priority for Johanna.

As a communications and change management expert, Johanna brings to Punter Southall Aspire strong experience of working with leading financial services companies.

She joins from Willis Towers Watson, where she consulted in Communications and Change Management. Her role also included time as a Communications Secondee at a leading bank implementing their flexible benefits communication strategy.

Prior to this, Johanna worked at Aon Plc in various roles. She joined as a Pension Intern in 2011 and later worked as a Communications Consultant in their Employee Benefits practice. Again, she spent time as a Communications Secondee in Aon’s Internal Communications team.

Johanna worked with several high-profile clients across the FMCG sector, media and entertainment, retail and finance whilst at Aon Plc and Willis Towers Watson.

Johanna said: “I’m really excited to join Punter Southall Aspire. I share the company’s vision of creating dynamic, emotive and impactful communication strategies which help clients improve employee engagement. I’m very passionate about creating a fantastic employee experience and empowering people through simple and engaging communications. I’m looking forward to working with our clients and sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for communications to improve the financial well-being of their employees,” she added.

Johanna reports into Steve Butler, Chief Executive and is based in the London office.

Johanna has a 1st class BA in International Business and Accounting from the University of Strathclyde and an International Business qualification from Nanyang University in Singapore.
