Signature Private Finance has selected Solihull Mind, as its chosen charity for the year. The Solihull-based, short-term property finance company has agreed to make a donation for every deal it makes, over the next 12 months.

Solihull Mind currently supports those living with mental health issues, through a range of services, from counselling and support groups to drop-in music, art and horticulture therapy sessions.

With the backing of Signature Private Finance and other local businesses, the charity will receive important funding to help expand their current offering and provide much-needed support to those in need.

Signature CEO, Tony Gilbertson commented: “When you get caught up in the fast-paced nature of working life it can be easy to lose sight of what’s most important. We have supported various charities in the past, but feel we can help more directing all our efforts at a single cause, like Mind.

“For some people, getting up in the morning, going to work or even going outside can become a struggle, and it’s important that as a community we help those people get the support and help they need.

“There are plenty of dedicated charities in the local area that work to improve the lives of those in a less fortunate position, and as a business we’re always looking to help these causes and offer support where possible.

“Solihull Mind is one of these organisations, and the work they do all year round in supporting people with mental health issues is phenomenal.

“As a business, we not only support the local community through job creation, but feel it is our responsibility to help those who offer the support our local community needs.

“We have set specific targets for fundraising, linked directly to our success, but will also hold a variety of events throughout the year to swell our contribution, which we hope will help Solihull Mind maintain and improve the important services they’re providing.”

Peter Brown, Chairperson at Solihull Mind commented: “As a charity, the support of other local businesses is absolutely crucial to providing the much-needed care people require.

“Our programmes and support groups are designed to help those living with mental health issues to rebuild their confidence and help them overcome whatever difficulties they may be facing.

“The support of successful businesses like Signature Private Finance will enable us to improve these services and help more people get the help they so desperately need.”
