UniCredit and Generali's Commercial Relationship
MILAN, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Any discussions with Generali are connected to the commercial partnerships tying Italy's biggest insurer to UniCredit, the bank's Chief Executive Andrea Orcel said on Monday.
CEO's Insights on Partnership
Answering a question from analysts about Generali, following recent reports about a meeting between Orcel and Generali CEO Philippe Donnet, the UniCredit CEO said: "There is nothing else on that topic, not that I know of at this point."
Role of Generali in UniCredit's Offerings
"They are one of our industrial partners. People forget that they provide most of our bank insurance products in central and eastern Europe," he said.
"We distribute their asset management products within our network. So, of course, we talk to them. The rest is a little bit fantasies of people who need to create stories."
