BT Wins $1.6 Billion UK Lawsuit Over Customer Overcharging
LONDON (Reuters) - BT defeated a 1.3 billion pound ($1.64 billion) lawsuit brought against the British telecoms firm for allegedly overcharging millions of customers for fixed telephone lines, a London tribunal ruled on Thursday. The Competition Appeal Tribunal ruled in favour of BT in a case which accused the former telecoms monopoly of excessively increasing prices.
