Renault and Stellantis Restart Production in Spain After Outage

PARIS (Reuters) -Renault's two factories and Stellantis' three plants in Spain are gradually resuming production after they were impacted by the massive power outage that hit Spain and Portugal on Monday.

A spokesperson for Renault said its two Spanish sites had been stopped since 1230 pm local time on Monday.

"Renault Group Spain has made every effort to normalize the situation, taking into account the force majeure situation. Now that the electric supply has been restored, the factories are resuming production progressively," added the spokesperson on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Stellantis said all three Stellantis plants in Spain were marginally impacted on Monday and production had restarted almost normally this morning.
