April 28 (Reuters) - Citigroup has hired Barclays' James Potts to lead its shareholder advisory and activism arm, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters on Tuesday, to assist its clients through shareholder activities.

Previous Role at Barclays

Potts will join Citi after nearly two decades at Barclays' investment banking division, where he is currently the head of corporate mergers and acquisitions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
