Lexmark retail system implemented across all UK and Ireland stores to enhance customer shopping experience

         Lexmark announced today that Holland & Barrett, Europe’s leading retailer of vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements, has taken another step towards reaching its goal of continual business growth through the roll-out of Lexmark’s Publishing Platform for Retail across all its UK and Ireland stores.

  • The Lexmark Publishing Platform for Retail enables all Holland & Barrett stores to print centrally generated store specific shelf signs based on availability of stock on hand, thus eliminating waste and reducing time spent sorting signs. Alongside this the new solution also automatically creates content for printed signs, electronic shelf labels and digital screens.

         Holland & Barrett now have an easy to use solution that can be accessed from the till point or back office PC and allows the store manager to pick and print their own signs from live and accurate data.

  • Designed to create compelling signs and reduce costs, Lexmark’s industry leading solution streamlines the signage process for retailers by using a single system to create volumes of shelf-ready output for in-store sign printing. Additionally, the system can also be used for central print, electronic shelf labels and digital displays. Each of these output types is customised to fit the individual needs and requirements of each specific retail outlet.

“The stores have seen a real improvement in the quality of information on their shelf edge labels with a clean and consistent look which makes it easier for customers to find what they are looking for. Store colleagues find the system easy to use and really like the ease with which they can create signs, print extra copies if required and now also receive a full colour promotional point of sale,” said Colin Field, Project Manager for Holland & Barret.

“The team have really enjoyed working with Holland & Barrett and would like to explore how else we can support the business with other in-store touch points as well as overseas markets by expanding the signage solution into Holland &Barret‘s European store network,” said David Jenkins, Director of Sales for Retail Signage Solutions at Lexmark.
